I posed this question at the FIBS group on Facebook, now I pose it here -- chime in!

"Is the dice bot male or female?"

Obviously, She is Female. Her Name is Fibsey, Dice Goddess of the Universe. Worship Her, and She will reward you. Diss Her, and She will smite you down and give you 51's until you repent with sackcloth and ashes.

I am Bones, Oracle of Fibsey. Learn from me, O Children of Earth.

p.s.  if you are willing, please include your gender in your reply.  I have an unsubstantiated hypothesis I'd like to try out.  Let me check -- yes, I'm male   ;)

There is NO rule six!

Lady Luck is obviously female. Ladyboy Luck is obviously male (well, it may not be obvious to some ;)). When you go to a concert given by Lady Luck and the Dice Gods the guys backing her are, er, guys. The Dice Gods in general are usually male (and old and often drunk and they don't hear so well and, if they do, they sometimes get forgetful and take a couple of rolls to give you the dice that you were crying out for, or they give them to your opponent instead because they can't see so well either, not that they can tell us apart anyway) but there are female Dice Gods too. The dice bot, if there is one, is inanimate but the hamster that spin its wheels may be of either gender, depending on which hammoe os on duty. Does that answer the question? :-)

Fibs dice, like most random events, seem female to me. Oftentimes they appear to have a sense of humour, they're devious, completely unpredictable, and great fun to watch - clearly women. As soon as one considers a game result known how often does that 35:1 shot come up - it may only be happening around 3% of the time but it feels like more often than not.

I'm male - does that make me biased?!

Spoiler
I'd guess your hypothesis to be "Men will perceive the dice as female" and would be extremely surprised if it's not correct

Did we think that it may only be happening around 3% of the time but it feels like more often than not?
