Hi - just wanted to share a recent musical nice experience with you :)

Having been an avid gig-goer in my late teens - mostly rock and stuff - I took a break from going to see live music for.........um.........maybe 20-odd years.  Saw some good bands in their heyday - AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden (when they were just breaking through), Rush, Sabbath, Rainbow, Motorhead.

Missed out on some of the greats though: Zep, Purple, Genesis (saw them but without Gabriel) and Yes.

But last week I went to see one of the greats. I'm not one for all the oldies coming back - and a lot of them are doing it - so was a bit wary and sceptical.  Some of them you watch now and realise they are past it and should have given up when they were in their prime - had the chance to see AC/DC but I saw them in 80/81 with Bon Scott and didn't want to ruin that memory.

However, my darling wife asked me to go and see someone who I admired, though had never been a huge fan. She had never been to a concert before so was very excited.

I have to say that Mr Bruce Springsteen was superb.

No fancy light shows - just good music. I mean the guy plays for 3 hours

ANy other musical memories?
