Blacklisted???

For the past week or so, I have been unable to log into the FIBS server. Using either a client app or a direct telnet session, the server goes through the normal welcome screen but when I enter my username a message comes up stating 'No cheaters allowed'. The server then disconnects me. It also appears that my home IP address is blocked, as I cannot get in using 'guest'.

I have emailed both Patti and Andreas with no response (as yet) -- I would appreciate if someone here could check my repbot standings (last time I looked, it was at 0, with 1 saved game), and if anyone has a possible reason for this I would like to know what happened.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. I have a feeling that Patti will erase the account as soon as it swaps IP. She has written some text on the MOTD that I couldn't clearly understand, but she seems very negative about the trading with accounts.


As for the cheating part of yours, maybe there has been someone else that uses the same ISP and have similar IPs as you. Changing names/accounts won't help since she bans you on your IP-number.

Patti seems to have blocked not only my IP address, but also my account

If I attempt to log in from a different IP address with my account, I get the same message and disconnect. I have sent her a couple of emails regarding this, but have not as yet received a reply (or even a read receipt).

Suggestions on other bg sites??? After about 10 years on FIBS exclusively, I am open to suggestions of what other sites have the level of play, etc. I should move to.

Just heard back from Patti -- it seems she put up a ban to block one user, and it caught me in the net as well. She has cleared my account, and all is right with the world
