There are many problems with Webrunner's proposed thread-closing. The one that's the most blatant, and the one that I will limit my discussion to, is related to his overt support of antipluralism. I assume you already know that even acrimonious, obscene vagabonds are ashamed of being associated with Webrunner's petulant reasoning and vile administration, but I have something more important to tell you.

The underlying message is that he is the type of person that turns up his nose at people like you and me. I guess that's because we haven't the faintest notion about the things that really matter, such as why it would be good for Webrunner to lower this forum's moral tone and depreciate its commercial integrity for the sake of the community. Finally, this has been a good deal of reading, and decidedly difficult reading at that. Still, I hope you walk away from it with the new knowledge that compared to these pigheaded, prodigal twaddlers, every pimp is a man of honor.

XXX I don't know what your problem is - tho' you do seem to like provoking people. I'm a rightwing capitalist myself - having worked in the city of London it's practically a job requirement.  I do disagree with your "right to judge" argument however.

What I am not is prejudiced in any way -  apart from preferring female company to male of course. I made a conscious decision and effort to be unprejudiced when I realised that any prejudice is not only morally but , more importantly from my perspective , intellectualy indefensible. I realised this at 15.

Perhaps you'll pardon me if I write this letter in a more personal vein than usual. I want to tell you about some personal perceptions of mine, primarily because we ignore NIHILIST at our own peril. Let me start by stressing that I am not attempting to suppress anyone's opinions, nor do I intend to demean NIHILIST personally for his beliefs or worldviews. But I myself do believe that I must take a strong position on NIHILIST's vituperations, which, after all, palm off our present situation as the compelling ground for worldwide diabolism. Does he think his arguments through, or does he just chug along on his computer writing about whatever trite apothegms happen to suit his needs that day? I ask, because I pledge -- in my daily life, in my family, my work, my community, my country, and my region -- to take steps toward creating an inclusive society free of attitudinal barriers. That's pretty transparent. What's not so transparent is the answer to the following question: Does he realize he's more insolent than most distasteful whiners? A clue might be that he would have us believe that it's okay to foster pessimism at every opportunity. Yeah, right.

NIHILIST uses his victim status as a kind of magic incantation to stifle debate, disparage critical analysis, and persuade us that the most valuable skill one can have is to be able to lie convincingly. I don't think anyone questions that. But did you know that in legal terminology, he is guilty of suppressio veri or "concealment of truth"? When I was little, my father would sometimes pick me up, put me on his knee, and say "Lewd wankers, churlish roustabouts, and NIHILIST's comrades are totally and thoroughly fungible." He thinks we want him to make a big deal out of nothing. Excuse me, but maybe many people are shocked when I tell them that it's time to get beyond lies, dissembling, and propaganda deliberately spread by NIHILIST and act according to the plain truth. And I'm shocked that so many people are shocked. You see, I had thought everybody already knew that NIHILIST has a strategy. His strategy is to irrationalize thinking on every issue. Wherever you encounter that strategy, you are dealing with NIHILIST. On balance, to my mind, NIHILIST's tricks show a degree of ill-bred sickness that even I didn't expect. Still, NIHILIST's coadjutors are quick to point out that because NIHILIST is hated, persecuted, and repeatedly laughed at, he is the real victim here. The truth is that, if anything, NIHILIST is a victim of his own success -- a success that enables NIHILIST to contaminate or cut off our cities' water supply.

Here's an eye-opener for you: A person who wants to get ahead should try to understand the long-range consequences of his/her actions. NIHILIST has never had that faculty. He always does what he wants to do at the moment and figures he'll be able to lie himself out of any problems that arise. He is differentiated from your average backwards twaddlers by virtue of the fact that he wants to dispense outright misinformation and flashlight-under-the-chin ghost stories. He is extraordinarily brazen. We've all known that for a long time. However, NIHILIST's willingness to perpetuate misguided and questionable notions of other unenlightened opportunists' intentions sets a new world record for brazenness. It's about time for NIHILIST to pay the piper. So please permit me to appropriate and paraphrase something I once heard: "False denials, pleas for sympathy, and a base campaign for smearing others with his own crimes constitute NIHILIST's whole method of defense."

He is a bacillus in the cantankerous gut of frotteurism. In that context, one could say that when he says that hanging out with insidious, twisted fogeys is a wonderful, culturally enriching experience, that's just a load of spucatum tauri. As misinformed as his animadversions are, the central paradox of his wisecracks, the twist that makes his publications so irresistible to intransigent, appalling sideshow barkers, is that these people truly believe that he has a "special" perspective on exclusionism which carries with it a "special" right to acquire power and use it to indoctrinate drugged-out, prissy-to-the-core scrubs. There is considerable evidence to show that NIHILIST is serious about wanting to do the entire country a grave disservice. The same holds true for sinful yobbos.

All kidding aside, you may make the comment, "What does this have to do with uninformed boeotians?" Well, once you begin to see the light, you'll realize that I cannot promise not to be angry at him. I do promise, however, to try to keep my anger under control, to keep it from leading me -- as it leads NIHILIST -- to infiltrate and then dominate and control the mass media. He wants to don the mantel of hooliganism and create a climate in which it will be assumed that our achievements reflect not individual worth, talent, or skill, but special consideration. It gets better: He believes that might makes right. I guess no one's ever told him that if you think that governments should have the right to lie to their own subjects or to other governments, then you're suffering from very serious nearsightedness. You're focusing too much on what NIHILIST wants you to see and failing to observe many other things of much greater importance. Sure, even the worst types of nasty, foul-mouthed bottom-feeders I've ever seen may have some good points, but I have yet to find one. I don't know whether or not you've ever been physically present at a public demonstration by NIHILIST's trained seals, but let me tell you, they're pretty shallow. Whereas NIHILIST claims that he knows 100% of everything 100% of the time, I claim that there is still hope for our society, real hope -- not the false sense of hope that comes from the mouths of wanton carpetbaggers, but the hope that makes you eager to argue about his commentaries.

His crusades are not the solution to our problem. They are the problem. It's doubtlessly a tragedy that his goal in life is apparently to tip the scales in his favor. Here, I use the word "tragedy" as the philosopher Whitehead used it. Whitehead stated that "the essence of dramatic tragedy is not unhappiness. It resides in the solemnity of the remorseless working of things," which I interpret as saying that honest people will admit that even NIHILIST's horoscope says he's logorrheic. Concerned people are not afraid to make plans and carry them out. And sensible people know that NIHILIST's fans tend to fall into the mistaken belief that the moon is made of green cheese, mainly because they live inside a NIHILIST-generated illusion-world and talk only with each other. NIHILIST claims that narcissism brings one closer to nirvana. That claim illustrates a serious reasoning fallacy, one that is pandemic in his campaigns. Then again, I once had a nightmare in which NIHILIST was free to control what we do and how we do it. When I awoke, I realized that this nightmare was frighteningly close to reality. For instance, if I had to choose the most Fabianism-prone specimen from NIHILIST's welter of petty gabble, it would have to be NIHILIST's claim that he can walk on water.

In plain, simple-to-understand English, we can all have daydreams about Happy Fuzzy Purple Bunny Land, where everyone is caring, loving, and nice. Not only will those daydreams not come true, but I unequivocally feel that NIHILIST has insulted everyone with even the slightest moral commitment. He obviously has none, or he wouldn't goad disagreeable spivs (especially the drossy type) into hurling epithets at his enemies. He likes to imply that animalism is a viable and vital objective for our nation's educational institutions. This is what his protests amount to, although, of course, they're daubed over with the viscid slobber of vitriolic drivel devised by his accomplices and mindlessly multiplied by rabid twerps (especially the ignominious type). To state it in stark and simple terms, NIHILIST says that everyone would be a lot safer if he were to monitor all of our personal communications and financial transactions -- even our library records. Why on Earth does NIHILIST need to monitor our library records? This can be answered most easily by stating that NIHILIST is like a pigeon. Pigeons are too self-absorbed to care about anyone else. They poo on people they don't like; they poo on people they don't even know. The only real difference between NIHILIST and a pigeon is that NIHILIST intends to deface a social fabric that was already deteriorating. That's why I have a dream, a mission, a set path that I would like to travel down. Specifically, my goal is to begin the debate about NIHILIST's slogans. Of course, he does not tolerate any view that differs from his own. Rather, NIHILIST discredits and discards those people who contradict him along with the ideas that they represent. Maybe NIHILIST has a reason for acting the way he does, but I doubt it. Unless you and I are morally inferior to the most disrespectful calumniators you'll ever see, it is simply wrong to conclude that he has the mandate of Heaven to defile the air and water in the name of profit.

A recent series of hearings, lawsuits, and media reports demonstrates that he is not as vile or inconsiderate as you might think. He's more so. In an atmosphere of false rumors and misinformation, if I were elected Ruler of the World, my first act of business would be to build a better world, a cleaner world, a safer world, and a saner world. I would further use my position to inform certain segments of the Earth's population that NIHILIST presents himself as a disinterested classicist lamenting the infusion of politically motivated methods of pedagogy and analysis into higher education. He is eloquent in his denunciation of modern scholarship, claiming it favors abominable warmongers. And here we have the ultimate irony, because his idiotic claim that divine ichor flows through his veins is just that, an idiotic claim.

At no time in the past did apolaustic drug addicts shamble through the streets of cities, demanding rights they imagine some supernatural power has bestowed upon them. Since I don't know NIHILIST that well, I'll have to be a bit presumptuous when I say that his true goal is to strip people of their rights to free expression and individuality. All the statements that his drones make to justify or downplay that goal are only apologetics; they do nothing to lead the way to the future, not to the past. I have this advice to offer: The world has changed, NIHILIST; get used to it. Listen up: We must truly demand a thoughtful analysis and resolution of our problems with NIHILIST. Does that sound extremist? Is it too unconscionable for you? I'm sorry if it seems that way, but that's life. Like I said, if we look beyond his delusions of grandeur, we see that if I had my druthers, NIHILIST would never have had the opportunity to emphasize the negative in our lives instead of accentuating the positive. As it stands, if I were a complete sap, I'd believe NIHILIST's line that arriving at a true state of comprehension is too difficult and/or time-consuming. Unfortunately for him, I realize that NIHILIST wants all of us to believe that honesty and responsibility have no cash value and are therefore worthless. That's why he sponsors brainwashing in the schools, brainwashing by the government, brainwashing statements made to us by politicians, entertainers, and sports stars, and brainwashing by the big advertisers and the news media.

People tell me that NIHILIST is a sore loser. And the people who tell me this are correct, of course. In theory, it's quite sad that he chooses to squander his talent on this sort of annoying ethnocentrism. But in reality, if he thinks that he can make me run around like a chicken with its head cut off, then he's barking up the wrong tree. Does anybody else feel the way I do, or am I alone in my disgust with NIHILIST?

Fine post by diane and interesting, if less concise post by zoeboy. Incidentally I have met George on several occasions and found him to be a wise and well adjusted human being. I have many right wing friends and acquaintances, they have a right to their views, as does XXX. However, the way in which he chooses to pass them on to us is far beyond the norms of discourse. I fear for his sanity! If fibs is about anything, it should be about using play to unite people from all countries, so that we can learn to have respect for those with different life-styles, religions and views. It is hard to see how XXX's excreta promotes that.

The coming elections in the US are crucial to the coming decades of this planet, so I just made my little contribution, mostly directed at our American friends.
