I think 'd have to go for zyxtcba, just because the things he says can be so offending. If we are looking at quantity instead of quality i'd have to go for NIHILIST.

Tough choice indeed! Maybe we need sub-categories: rude; impolite; foul language; offensive; annoying; utterly boring? Nah -- too much honour.

Anyway, overall I'd nominate zyxtcba. He's the only one on FIBS who's made negative comments in shout in very rude manner, time after time, when I ran some tourneys. And no, he was not participating in any tourney, not banned or whatever. Just some cyber-vandalism.  Fortunately I also got at least 20 thank-yous and no problems whatsoever from anybody else, so I can't be bothered too much. Just wondering what makes someone act like that.

While I agree with these nominations I'd also like to propose vqs - I find arrogance (particularly from the stupid) very rude. All the others do at least have some spark (not much from snowflakes admittedly) of intelligence. What a shame (NOT) that Patti banned that scatological fellow - everyone remember him - we'd have a clear winner for once - rude, boring , offensive and stupid - the works!!

What's nice about this poll is how short it will be. Of the thousands that play on fibs, this handful of twits will have this contest to themselves. I wasn't going to add to this post, but one useful observation may be this. The Rude Boys feel that they may say whatever they like. If their victim feels outraged, offended or upset, then he/she is told "You shouldn't be so sensitive".
If, on the other hand, anybody is rude to a Rude Boy, then he will act as if mortally wounded and respond with days, even weeks of the foulest abuse and the other Rude Boys will pack together in support. Any run of the mill adverse comment is sufficient to trigger this. Why so sensitive you Rude Boys? Take your own advice and be less sensitive is one course of action. The other is to come into fibs, have some fun and be friendly, rather than coming in with the obvious intention of winding up, annoying and insulting your victim of choice.

It is true that fibs existed more or less unregulated for a long time, but that was then and this is now. Fibs is evolving and it is evolving into something better. Those most often vilified by the Rude Boys and indeed, sometimes criticised by me too, such as alef, burper, MadMatt, Tomawaky, Webrunner, Socksey, diane, Kari_Grandi, tryout, EddieVedd et al are responsible for triggering this evolution. In the process of change, the Rude Boys are looking increasingly like dinosaurs. Adapt or die is the Darwinian message.

Fibs has a delightfully brief rule book. It says "Be Nice". Those who consistently flout this rule day in and day out may like to ask themselves why they continue to log in. I mean we are not talking about somebody who is rude to somebody else once in a while, we are talking about guys who do it every day, for their own amusement and because they hope to upset others. For what? How small does the minority have to be before they can see that it is they who are out of step?

After tonight's abuse I have to change my nomination: in a few minutes burper managed to surpass zyxtcba on the scale of most annoying fibsters.

Something seems seriously wrong with this dude after he got caught messing around with this fibs-board... anyway, I know he can do better, so I hope he'll recover soon and start being constructive again.

Oh, how to choose, how to choose? So many to pick from! Well, I pick the originator of this poll, ole Resh himself. While often amusing, he does manage to tie up rude, vulgar, and sexist all in one package!

Oh - the poll is started - and i was gonna suggest zorie - who is quite the rudest lady on fibs - and we love her for it

Well, maybe Resh has an excuse, of sorts.    

Zorie is normally a sweetheart, so maybe she has a hormonally imbalanced day here and there.  So do I!  I might add, diane, you do your share of mud throwing (albeit defensive mostly), and yes, we love you anyway!  

We need to be tolerant of others to some degree remembering always that no one is perfect, and most, far from it.  However, our tolerance grows thin with those whose, as Dorbel, so aptly put, "obvious intention of winding up, annoying and insulting your victim of choice".  

I remember once when Kari observed how pleasant one day was (YES, AND SO LONG AGO) when the rude boys didn't appear.  We need more of those days!  

Has anyone noticed how sweet NIHILIST is behaving lately?  I'm waiting for the punchline that, hopefully, never comes.

Another thing, I think needs to be mentioned, is that we are on Fibs from our own homes, for the most part.  Drugs and drinking probably have a large influence on what we hear on Fibs.  A lot of us say things we wouldn't normally say, while under the influence.  I suspect a lot of the garbage that comes out of the mouthes of the worst on Fibs is fueled by substance abuse or enhancement.
