Title: Lost password but stored in JavaFIBS
Post by: geppolet on January 27, 2009, 11:48:15 AM
Hi all.

I forgot my password  but luckily I got it stored in JavaFIBS, in encrypted form...
I wonder whether there is way to get my password back from any JF file.. anyone could help me?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, it is possible to recover the clear text password from the JavaFibs preferences. I needed the preferences file of that NICK (in user/YOURNICK/preferences) via mail, simplest way would be to send the file as a mail attachement to javafibs@fibs.com.

So it was and it worked!

He replied me immediately and I could recover and change my old password.

Thank you very much for your advice!
