Hi krawa!

1. Are you sure, you are really logged in? (Does the system output area say "Welcome krawa. Your last login was ...." ?)

2. Did you toggle the bottuns (http://www.hardyhuebener.de/tmp/pplaying.gif), (http://www.hardyhuebener.de/tmp/ponline.gif) and/or (http://www.hardyhuebener.de/tmp/pready.gif) "ON"? Only then, players playing, online and/or ready are displayed in the players list. (Those toggles are located at the left top corner of the players window).

Usually you should find more than 100 players at FIBS.

Hope it helped?

Well, thats exactly, what you should see in the system output area of JavaFIBS.

We should first try to check if you are logged in with JavaFIBS before we continue. So, try to log in with JavaFIBS and have a look, what the system output area (at the right half of the JavaFIBS window) displays.

If you don't get logged that way we have to continue troubleshooting login.

Otherwise have a look if you toggled the the buttons I mentioned in my first message.

Please report your results STEP-BY-STEP.

BTW, did you have a look at http://www.fibs.com/~cthulhu/ (http://www.fibs.com/~cthulhu/), where you find all instructions how to work with JavaFIBS?

As JavaFIBS is the best interface for FIBS, don't give up too early ;-)

Yours,

As my previous message show, i think i have an issue to log in.

I put my PC in DMZ on my routeur, i stopped my firewall .... always the same.

Yes i verified on  http://www.fibs.com/~cthulhu/ (http://www.fibs.com/~cthulhu/), but nothing for me.

I'm disapointed !!!

I will try on an other PC.

Thanks

Well, then PLEASE let me know what the system output area (of JavaFIBS) tells you when you try to log in!!! .... come on, don't be so reluctant on giving some details  :D Without details its difficult to troubleshoot

Pas de problem, je ne parle fraincais pas

What I am missing in your system output area is something like that:

Tuesday, May 17 01:00:57 MEST   ( Mon May 16 23:00:57 2005 UTC )

login:

Welcome krawa!
Your last login was Fri May 13 21:58:33 CEST 2005 from pD99B653C.dip0.t-ipconnect.fr

-> set boardstyle 3
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+

Rest in peace, damosel.  You will be missed.

+--------------------------------------------------------------------+

This means, there seems to be no attempt at all to login as krawa!

If you try to login, you see this window:

Are you sure, you entered Nick (krawa) and Password correct?

Title: Nobody on JavaFibs
Post by: krawa on May 17, 2005, 06:06:56 PM

I tried JavaFibs2001 and also JavaFibs via IE and Firefox. Same issue with the  3 kind of JavaFibs using. I think the part of java used for connexion don't work on my PC ...

Thanks

Krawa, did you set up your name and password in the user options ?  If you didn't, Java fibs hasno clue on how to connect...

This problem is known but the reason why is unknown. Other people have also experienced the same result. I have no clue why but it seems that you can't send anything to FIBS even if you can recieve data from FIBS. It will be apparent if you wait several minutes until you are timed out and disconnected from FIBS.

One person managed to solve this by turning off his Norton-whatever-program. After that it worked. Try shutting off any other program you are running before connecting with JavaFIBS and see if it's working.

Like i already said, i did the same on two other PC and it work fine. I unsinstall and reinstall and ... nothing. I created many users in JavaFibs, it's OK but impossible to connect. I haven't Norton but i disconected AVG and all others program .... always the same. I think i'll never play with JavaFibs, stay on Netgammon !!

Thanks for all persons tried to help me.

Krawa.

I agree with Tomawaky.

I'm on Win XP too and i use both javafibs and 3dfibs.

Try the second one and stay with us... there is always room for new fibsters

LOL
So, you will think that i'm a newb with my computer because i have also some issue with 3D. I have already play one time with 3DFibs but now, when i try to connect to Fibs (again), 3DFIBS download "List.htm" (i don't know what to do with that) and after the program not respond .... I can precise that i'm a IT manager, it' very rare that i have issue with my PC and often i resolve the issue of my friends .... but with the FIBS Client i have a bad star.

Just download it and save where it wants to go, then close.  It will then offer to log you in.

Tomawaky, please use English on fibsboard or both in same post, and translate for me.  Thank you.  ;)

Thank you all!  I love the French language, but on Fibsboard as moderator, I need to know what you are saying, so if you post in a language other than English, please post with translation to English as well.   ;)

But when whispering in my ear, no translation needed!   :P
