My son had a play with the camera while we were away - and got a good photo of another of our family - he is about 15 years old - and going strong.  We call this fella - well, lizard.....

I thought it was rather the other way around - the lizard is eyeing up the cat - not at all put off by her rather outsized head...

He is an urban fox - although more used to people, by and large, than his country cousins - he is still terrified at suddenly find himself trapped, by the looks of things.  Like most of the inhabitants of New Cross, he is showing some signs of 'wear and tear' mostly in the tail as you noticed - too much partying? too much fighting? too much meths? getting too close to moj' girls? one can never be sure  :P
