The reputation improvement topic title speaks for itself.

If this is an improvement it can be done,  Even Webrunners concerns can be addressed.

I have a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, and I should be quite capable of such tasks.

It could be done, i'm sure.
It could be a new repbot. (Repbot2 ?)
The problem is that all client software packages that use repbot should be changed.
Or you should get a hold of the original repbot.

I can't help you there, but i am willing to provide a modest platform (webspace and even a small botserver).

Go for it!

PS, i think it is wise to first see if there is a "market" for these repbot enhancements.
Maybe nobody cares

Hey Web,

I'm not looking to rewrite repbot completely, I'm still looking for repbot code to modify into a new repbot.  I haven't heard back from burper yet.  I'll ask avik next.  There definitely is more research to do on my part.

Software development tools used include shell scripts, C, Java, Visual Basic, Pascal, MATLAB, Assembly, HTML, SQL, Oracle, and Access, etc.

If it is writen in something else, I'll just try to learn it.

As far as a "market" for any improvements,  It has been all positve feedback since I revised the idea.  For now, I'll continue to research this.

P.S. Thanks for the support  :)

If you know some php or perl maybe we could integrate repbot and fibs more with Fibsboard (see rating and rep here etc., integrate login and registration etc.)

The RepBot code can be obtained from Sourceforge's CVS repository.

Web,

I have messed around a little with php and perl a little.  We can look into that.

About that Avatar Shades, that is exactly what I thought when I came across it!  I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe!

BTW Web, do you know why my Avatar keeps locking up?

Thanks Matt for the URL!

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, but it hasn't locked up in a long time, so it's no big deal.
