FIBS Board backgammon forum

Somewhere on the 'to-do' list, prehaps a feature where players can "register" for notifications of new tourneys and such. A not insignificant percentage of the FIBS population has shouts turned off, so never see the shouted notifications. They generally tend to be non-nonsense people too, which is a good thing.

e.g.

tell tourneybot notifyme
tell tourneybot dontnotifyme

Only notifies them ONCE when a new touney is opened via tell if they are currently logged in (and don't have TB currently gagged).

I know many of the people on fibs don't listen to shouts. Especially those using 3-d Fibs.

If you guys were subscribed to tourneybot-info mailing list (like you should be), you would know that this is planned feature for near future.
