Title: OPENING UNFINISHED MATCHES IN GNU
Post by: garp_02 on September 19, 2011, 05:32:41 PM
Do any of you clever types know if it is possible to open an unfinished Fibs match in GnU?

The match has been saved as .mat but unable to open it.

Any help gretaly appreciated.

You can use a text editor to open up the .mat file and see all of the moves.

If you put in the remaining moves of the match into that file using a simple text editor and in the proper formatting, you can open it in gnu.

See my posts related to this here:

TY for response Moon.

I take it then, that there is something missing in the incomplete match file, which gnu needs to open the file.

If I want to open the file as it stands, can I type in the missing item then open it in gnu?

Unless it is a complete match recorded in the file, gnu will never be able to open it.

The only way you can get gnu to open the match file, as I've previously explained, is to open that file with a text editor and manually add the remaining moves/games so that it is a completed match, which is normally more trouble than its worth.
