  Keep the prime and play off the eight point.  Since we want to slow down here, that position means we don't have to play any six we roll.

Choosing between 8/2  and 8/3, 5/4 is a matter of "reading the numbers".   3-6 plays poorly after 8/3 5/4.  Other than that, it's pretty much the same between the two moves.  So I'd expect 8/2 is slightly superior.
