The only strong feeling I can think of at the moment is the strong objection I have to the change of Bago hour earlier on Sundays!  So there!

OK, so when spring comes, along with daylight savings time change, I will expect the time to be back to 6 am, my time.

Your local time relative to the actual time of the tournament changed.  So in your time zone it is one hour earlier, but in real time (the scientifically measured time) - it stayed the same. Before the clocks changed it was at 11 am UTC, and after the clocks changed it is still at 11 UTC. When your clocks go forward - it will still be at 11 UTC - and will appear to you to be an hour later (6 am as you correctly point out).
You can recognise this by the fact that at first when the clocks go back (or forward - and thats the hard one for me   ) - you still get up at the time you have been used to getting up at - until your body clock adjusts to the new time. That is the difference I am trying to point out - cos this is a tricky subject - and I only want to be sure as many people know - firstly when the tournaments are in their local time now - but where they will be when the times change again.  
Gosh darn I wish they wouldnt keep messing with it!  

As has been discussed in a few threads here - UTC is considered the best time to use for an international site, and all players need to be aware of the need to convert their local times into UTC.  To facilitate this - Tomawaky introduced a clock in UTC to the front page of his website, and FIBS itself will tell you the time in both your local time and in UTC. Send a command 'time' and the time will appear in your system window. It may require setting up to your local time - but the UTC time remains correct (more often that not  ), to  set the time - command 'help time' and it will tell you how.

That's why I use,  http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/full.html  since it seems always to be right.  The neat little meeting planner feature is great also for arranging matches in league and long-term tournaments.

I think that having the right time is not the point.
Having a shared time is the most important.

That's why I have put this clock on my website.

The best would have been Fibs, but this one is not trustfull

ok its truth time, diane has and is well under way in a smear campaign against gogogiz. They have been at loggerheads for a few weeks now.This started because diane logged onto fibs in the middle of a slanging match between gogogiz bushsucks and waldenstein.(there was no need to get involved here).Diane put her nose in and went against gogogiz.And there the rift began.At present she is going around making slanderous statements which cannot be quantified in any way possible as they are simply not true.This i cannot tollerate and find it quiet disturbing that she cannot simply ..
1.Put her brain in gear before opening her mouth
2.Make sure she has facts
3.admit that gogogiz has pissed her off and this is some kind of revenge
She has poisoned people's perception of gogo with these allegations,and knows exactly what she is doing.It is downright nasty calculated and vindictive ,diane you know this ,and we expect better from you.

Ok - you want more - here it is....nice to see you all sticking together...Now why does the phrase 'thick as thieves' keep a leaping into my head (for non native english speakers this is a simile - and as such, states they are NOT thieves, but have one or more characteristics in common with those we associate with thieves)

Now - which of the FACTS did i get wrong - as quoted by scardy...

1 - gogogiz left the event with a Ã,£600 board that was not his, and without the consent or knowledge of the owner.

2 - Ten days after leaving the event with said board - gogo had made no contact with the TD of the event to ask whose the board was - or to whom it should be passed.

3- On being confronted on this issue - gogogiz asked for a reward for returning the item to its rightful owner.

there are many side issues here - lets look at some of them..

gogogiz left the event early - supposedly to attend to an ailing grandfather - yet amy was in shouts recently, telling us how he drove her back to the hotel she and zdoc were staying in - joined them in the room - giggling and searching for what he thought was a vibrator. He then went on to find them a better hotel room to stay in - all under the influence of the drug of his choice - in his own words - too stoned to realise what he was doing. Hope grandpa was ok whilst he was doing all of this.

Yes - the events since July have caused me to view gogogiz in a different light...
starting here with this conversation during a BAGO tournament..

Far from being 'cool' this continued into a very unpleasant situation between gogogiz and myself - which I mostly kept quiet.  But when the team bavaria thing erupted -  knowing how nasty he can be - and was not supportive of him. I still kept fairly quiet until his shouts - and it was not a slanging match as I saw it - but merely gogo shouting the one insult he knows he can throw at someone, merely because they happen to be German. I saw no input from anyone else - and told gogogiz I thought his comments were unacceptable - for which I got a stream of abuse - which continued until I gagged him.
Then he made the post - in dorbels thread - because dorbel also had the 'audacity' to disagree with him.

Overall - gogogiz has himself - by his actions, eroded my esteem for him - which once was quite high.  Now I have seen quite how bad he can be - I will make a stand.  I realise this is not the FIBS way - better to keep quiet until something directly affects you - but what can I say - I stand up for my principles - I always have - and if that makes me unpopular - well

Few points to consider here . Patti has a rule in fibs #1 is anything personal in fibs that doesnt involve fibs , she will not get involved. take it out of fibs and slove it your selves.
I think it would be a good idea for webrunner to cut this at the bud, fibsboard should not be used to solve personal problems, This is not the place of it .

And if it is true that gogogiz gave his password to socksey to play his match in a tourney as diane says shame on socksey to agree.

Further conversations I had with socksey suggested she had no idea of gogogiz' suggestion - and she 'talked to him' about it. I had no reason to suspect sockseys character in all this, then or now - and gogo would have been ok if he had let it lie - but he didnt.....
