Dude, we've just met.  I've been on FIBS for nigh on ten years.  And you have the gall, the *vanity* to suggest that I am altering my writing to match yours?  Anyone here will tell you that over the course of my decade of participation on FIBS that clarity of expression, and (something you utterly lack) *style* are my two highest priorities in writing.  I'd have to tie one lobe of my brain behind my back to descend to your level of illiterate incompetence.

Get thee to a Strunk and White Style Manual.  A Grade School Grammer Guide, even.

Look up the following:  Sentence Fragments.  Run-on Sentences.  Subject-Verb Agreement.  Non-standard punctuation.  Errors of each type are on frequent display in your "eloquence".  (Not "eloquatia", ya lunkhead.)   You might also want to compose your screeds in a word processor, because Spell Check is your friend, and the two of you seem to be unacquainted.

Hey, English ain't your first language, but you can make yourself understood.  Bully for you.

I have been away from FIBS for far too long! So distressing that all the interesting things happen when I am on holiday and very little Backgammon in sight. Can't wait to see how this particular discussion develops. If any money is involved I'll hold it.

I on the other hand, I don't have that luxury so i'll have to stick to a max of 25 points. Furthermore i NEVER play unlimited matches. And for your information.. i play 7-15 point matches most of the times.

So.. i don't have a 1000 bucks to spare but i am willing to take up a challange and play a 25 pointer with you.(or 3 15 pointers)

I can say the same for you, in fact.. you turned down my challange and chose a safe unlimited match, which won't affect your rating and you know i wouldn't accept because it's absurd length. So..actually you are the one who already folded! :hang:

Sure, more bullshit on the already huge pile, made up of deliberate misunderstandings, distortions of reality, half-truths or just straight out lies.

Strangely enough, webrunner, you are the only one of this bunch of bottomfeeders that sounds fairly reasonable, I guess, that also had the balls to put his money (virtual, as I recall I described it) where his mouth is.

All of a sudden, my talk of virtual money is twisted into real money, just another example of how everything I say is being turned around, ripped out of context and edited to suit the needs of the rest of the sheep.

Who I am ? I am a very attractive male with a great body (or so I have heard often ;-)), with an IQ that is probably unmeasurable (considering that such a test would have to be disigned by someone that is more intelligent than me) born in the elite of my country, rich parents, not only heavily networked into the "old boys network" the world over, but also with plenty of connections in what you all might call "the underworld" ... you see, I don't discriminate in what people do for a living, as long as I can get along with him or her fine.
I make love toed hundreds of lookers (not dogs, like most here probably have), lived together with six of them and apart from a small "sidetrip" to the French Foreign Legion, the third elite force in the world, right after Green Barets/Navy Seals and Spetsnaz, I had my first company at the age of 22, not using a cent of my family, 6 more were added in the years to follow until I sold the lot some eight years ago and went into what might be best described as "venture capital", investing in whatever suits me. So yes, I have a lot of time that is my own, because I am my own man.
Envied, respected, loved, feared by those that wronged me, pompous, no, arrogant, yes definately, but hell, everything of value needs to be guarded well in this world. Why do you think there is a battalion (or more) of marines sttioned around Fort Knox ? Exactly !!

You will understand by now that there is nothing average about me and perhaps my mistake was to even try to socialise with the (very) average FIBS-er ?! I also don't believe in false modesty ... I leave that to the hypocrites.

What to do ? I considered upping the stakes again, when real cash was mentioned, but to an amount that would, if lost, would immediately bankrupt FIBS, fun what ? Not really much, $ 100.000 would do it, I guess .... an amount that, when lost by me, as you will by now understand, wouldn't cost me a second of sleep, so that in itself would give me another edge over the poor guy, selected to defend the honour AND solvency of FIBS.

I contemplated having the server DoS-sed every other day or so, very LamE I know ... but fun to sit back and know that all the little mediocre people had lost their nice and cosy virtual livingroom (for lack of a real life) full of all the other mediocre narrowminded folks.

But no, whilst enjoying another Cuelvo Gold, it hit me, simple and cristalclear ...

While I simply go back to my incredible but wonderfull life, to all those things that all of your miserable lives lack. Funny what ? Also FIBS never provided the sort of backgammon I was after in the first place.

I would have liked to play with you, webrunner, even for only 25 points, but hee, one of these days, somebody (registered and logged in through perhaps one or two proxy servers) might invite you to a few 11 pointers .... you never know ;-))

I didn't think the French Foreign Legion was an elite force but rather a greatly expendable, if highly trained, one that includes social misfits and fugitives not unlike mrXXX, who are particularly adept and killing Algerians. EVERYONE knows that it's not the third most elite unit in the world. You must be confusing it with your stint in the Salvation Army passing out muffins and meeing lots of powerful "old boys".  
  Seriously though, thank you for some interesting and literate debate. So infrequent but so refreshing to read. It's discussions and random chat like this that makes me love FIBS so much.

Hmm, heard time and again that snowie is much better but still think that it is next to impossible to catch the luckfactor (a too great factor in this mother of all games called backgammon) in programlines ... or many more additional factors for that matter.
